Education

The OPB supports the Annual Potato Conference and trade show organized by Dr. Eugenia Banks.  Eugenia came here from Santiago Chile with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Chile.  Eugenia studied further at the University of Guelph where she completed her masters and PhD.  Her connection to the potato industry started in 1990, when she began working for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs as a Potato Specialist.

 

The Annual Potato Conference is held each year in February.  Members come from all over the province and as far away as PEI to attend this conference to learn about new technology, pest management and disease control from a variety of speakers,
